Graduating from Early Intervention

🎉Asher graduated from Early Intervention (again) today. 🎈

Onward to other services. We are on a wait list for a feeding clinic and further evaluations at PhilHaven autism clinic with their pediatric behavioral doctor. We may pick up outpatient occupational therapy as well.

He turns 3 Saturday and moves on to preschool through the Learning Center/Intermediate Unit next week. The focus there will be on his auditory processing skills. They will monitor his toe walking and other behaviors as the one therapist evaluator thought he was low toned.

He has shown regression with using steps, potty training (he got pretty far except for sleep last October but has reversed recently).

His speech is advanced but his follow through on directions, focus, and more is still quite behind his peers. Asking for help and sharing are normal struggles for his age group, but Asher shows signs of being way off on these skills.

It’s been an intense 3 years and I so thankful to be his mom, even on our hard days.
